Early Times Report

JAMMU, Mar 13: The Centre is steadfast in its mission to provide Har Ghar Nal Se Jal under the prestigious Jal Jeevan Mission, a flagship initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide tap water connections to every household across the country.
This was stated by Arvind Gupta, senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West after inaugurating the laying of a 675-meter PHE water GI pipeline in Amar Colony Extension, Ward 32, a significant step towards strengthening the water supply infrastructure in Jammu West. On the occasion, former Deputy Mayor Dharamveer Singh Jamwal, BJP Mandal President Anil Angral, Mandal President Kaushant Daffara, Arun Dubey, Rajesh Saini, Gurucharan Singh, Geeta Sodhi and Harvinder Singh were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind highlighted that this project in Amar Colony Extension is part of the larger vision of ensuring access to safe and potable water for all. This initiative aims to ensure a consistent and clean water supply to the residents, reinforcing the commitment of the government to fulfilling the basic needs of the people, he added.
The senior BJP leader stated that under the leadership of PM Modi, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed unprecedented infrastructural development, and the Jal Jeevan Mission has been instrumental in transforming the lives of the people by addressing long-standing water scarcity issues. “The BJP-led government is committed to ensuring that every household gets access to clean drinking water, and today’s initiative is another step in that direction,” he said.
Arvind Gupta also appreciated the efforts of the local administration and the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for expediting the project and assured the people that the government remains dedicated to resolving civic issues at the grassroots level. He urged the residents to actively participate in water conservation efforts and make judicious use of resources.
The MLA reaffirmed that the BJP government will continue to work tirelessly for the welfare of the people and urged citizens to support developmental initiatives aimed at making Jammu a model region for growth and prosperity. Local residents expressed their gratitude for the timely intervention and lauded the efforts of the BJP leadership in addressing their long-pending demand for a reliable water supply.
