Baisakhi Welfare Fete celebrated with Great Zeal at PPS

NABHA, Apr 15: The festive spirit of Baisakhi came alive at The Punjab Public School, Nabha, with the vibrant celebration of the Baisakhi Welfare Fete, inaugurated by Headmaster Dr. D.C. Sharma at the Headmaster's Green. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of Old Nabhaites, parents, and students, making it a memorable day for the school community.
The campus transformed into a lively carnival with a variety of game and food stalls catering to diverse interests. Popular attractions included Fishing the soft drink bottles, Golf Putting, Scoring a Goal (Football), One Stump to Bowl At, Hockey Scoop, Jabberwocky, Frisbee, Coin the Bucket, Hoopla, Car Race/Dice Game, Agility Ladder Twist, Toppling the Cans, Basketball Through a Tyre, Dart Shooting, All is Well, Horse Riding, and the Juke Box. The Nimboo Pani Stall was a refreshing hit among visitors.
The Admission Cell and PPS Souvenir stalls drew large crowds, while Tambola added an extra dose of fun to the celebration. In addition to games, various academic departments-including Art, Craft, Photography, Geography, IT & Robotics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, Historical Section, and Music and Band-put up engaging exhibitions, showcasing the creative and intellectual spirit of the school.
Earlier, a special assembly was held to mark the significance of the day. Students Deepinder Kaur, Japneet Kaur, and Ishmeet Kaur eloquently highlighted the relevance of Baisakhi in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, respectively. The school choir elevated the atmosphere with soul-stirring renditions of "Tu Mera Pita Tu Hai Mera Mata" and "Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Eha."
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sharma extended warm greetings to the parents and shared his vision for the school's continued growth and excellence. The event was graced by Bursar Dr. Ankur Samuel Birkett, ODHM Mrs. Ravinder Kaur, and esteemed members of the faculty.
The Baisakhi Welfare Fete brought together fun, tradition, and learning, creating lasting memories for everyone present.
