Health Awareness, Character Building Programme organises
4/20/2025 9:31:11 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 20: A powerful and inspiring Health Awareness and Character Building Programme was successfully organized at Naveen Shiksha Kendra (NSK) by the Indian Yoga Association (IYA)-a nationally renowned organization dedicated to the promotion of yoga-and Vichar Kranti Manch International (VKMI).
NSK has long been dedicated to uplifting underprivileged children by providing quality education, books, and uniforms, especially to those from slum areas.
The programme was conducted under the able guidance of Shri Suresh Samyal (Dogra Sb), General Secretary of Swera NGO, which manages NSK High School. The event was seamlessly coordinated by Ms. Rajni Rozi, Principal of the school.
Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, State Chairman of IYA and President of VKMI, led an interactive and motivational session. He emphasized the importance of building a strong foundation for students based on four key pillars: Discipline, Good Conduct (Sadaachaar), Yoga, and Focus on Studies.
One of the event's most engaging highlights was a "Lead and Follow" motivational poem that resonated deeply with the students. The poem encouraged truth, honesty, discipline, and healthy habits, inspiring students to become role models of positive change:
"Let truth be the essence of my life, honesty my guiding light.
Whatever I promise, I must fulfill, lighting hearts with kindness and will.
With discipline, my path will clear; with hard work, success draws near.
Wake on time, eat and write, let a healthy body keep the mind bright.
Practice yoga every day, to feel energized in every way.
Let's walk the path that's pure and right, earning blessings in every sight.
Each student here is a precious gem, let's shine bright and be an emblem."
The event also featured the distribution of nutrition items to students and staff. This generous contribution-especially fruit juice packets-was made possible by Mr. Sanjeev Parihar, Founder President of Social Reform & Charitable Organisations, Kishtwar, in collaboration with Dabur India Ltd.
Adding further value to the programme were Mr. Yash Pal Sharma, Life Coach & Trained Yoga Teacher, and Shri Ashok Bhat, Office Secretary of the Confederation of Voluntary, Social and Charitable Organisations.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Principal Ms. Rajni Rozi, who appreciated the sincere contributions of all guests, organizers, and students.
