Suresh Sharma Inaugurates development works worth Rs 28 lakh

Akhnoor, Apr 27: BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) member Pandit Suresh Sharma visited Panchayat Ghar, Majur, and Kennedy in the remote hilly region of Block Chawki Chaura. During his visit, Sharma inaugurated various development projects completed at a cost of Rs 28 lakh.
In addition to these works, he also inaugurated a newly installed head pump at Chadeyasi Devasthan, constructed at a cost of Rs 5 lakh. Furthermore, cricket kits worth Rs 1.5 lakh were distributed among the youth of three panchayats to encourage sports activities.
Addressing the gathering, Suresh Sharma emphasized that development work is being prioritized based on the needs and demands of the local residents. He highlighted that to tackle the drinking water crisis, more than Rs 100 crore is being invested under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Blocks Maira Mandrian and Chawki Chaura. He informed that old water pipes have been replaced and water projects in Block Chawki Chaura are nearing completion, which will greatly benefit the population.
Speaking about improvements in electricity infrastructure, Sharma said that new transformers are being installed and added that efforts are underway to connect every village with paved roads. Over the past four years, numerous new roads have been constructed in Block Chawki Chaura and Maira Mandrian, with plans for many more in the pipeline.
While addressing the youth, Sharma underlined the importance of participating in sports to maintain mental balance and physical health. He also urged the youth to stay away from social evils and drug addiction.
The people and youth of the panchayats expressed their gratitude to Suresh Sharma for his continued efforts in addressing their concerns and fulfilling their demands.
Among those present on the occasion were BJP leader Captain B.D. Sharma, BJP Mandal President Ashok Kumar Sharma, former Sarpanch Chunnilal, Madan Lal, Purushottam Lal, Satpal, Sunil Kumar, Captain Jagdish Raj, Captain Paras Ram, Darshan Lal, Kuldeep Kumar, Suraj Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Chaman Lal, Baburam, Suresh Kumar, Omkar, Yashpal, Rajiv Kumar, along with many youth and other dignitaries from all three panchayats.
