BLSKS observes Ayushman Bharat Diwas | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 30: To raise awareness about the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan and promote the traditional culture of Jammu and Kashmir, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) observed Ayushman Bharat Diwas 2025 at Golden Era Public School, Chack Jaffer, Zone Marh, Jammu. The event featured the 493rd edition of the Wednesday Series with a Dogri musical play titled "Tandurasati Hazzar Niyamat", written and directed by Dr. M.L. Dogra, a renowned playwright and director. The program was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and the Social Welfare Department of the J&K Government. Over 250 students and teachers took a pledge against drug abuse, and a certificate from the Ministry of Social Justice was presented to the school's principal. Chief Guest Amrik Singh, Principal of Golden Era Public School, inaugurated the event. Guests of Honor included senior teachers Nidhi Chib and Rekha Chouhan. The program opened with musical performances, including songs such as "Ayushman Bharat Ayushman Bharat", "Nasha Na Karna - Mann Lo Kehna", "Swachh Bharat ka Irada Kariya Humne", and "Khand Mithe Log Dogre". The music for the play was composed by Raju Bajgal. In his speech, the Chief Guest highlighted the significance of Ayushman Bharat Diwas, observed annually on April 30 to raise awareness about one of the world's largest healthcare schemes - Ayushman Bharat Yojana. He praised BLSKS for organizing an informative and engaging event that effectively conveyed the message of health and wellness. Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman of BLSKS, addressed the audience and explained the challenges of drug withdrawal and the importance of the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan. He also detailed the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which provides free health insurance of up to ?5 lakh annually for poor and low-income families. Mr. Mahesh Chander Kotwal, Secretary of BLSKS, emphasized the importance of making healthcare accessible and raising awareness about both government schemes and the dangers of drug abuse. The program featured performances by artists and students from the Music and Computer Institute, including Usha Raina, K.K. Joshi, Raju Bajgal, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, and Zulekha Bano, who captivated the audience with their performances. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Master Deepak Kumar, marking the successful completion of a meaningful and impactful celebration. |
