Temple theft solved, accused arrested in Udhampur | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Apr 30: Udhampur Police has successfully solved a theft case involving a local temple with the arrest of the accused and recovery of stolen property. On April 29, 2025, Parshotam Kumar, a resident of Ballian, Udhampur, filed a complaint at Police Station Udhampur reporting that unknown thieves had broken the lock of Bagla Mukhi Mandir (Main Bagh) and stolen silver idols and cash from the donation box. Acting swiftly, Police registered FIR No. 145/2025 under relevant legal provisions at PS Udhampur and constituted a special team led by SHO PS Udhampur to investigate the case. After diligent efforts, multiple suspects were rounded up and interrogated. During sustained questioning, Rahul Sharma S/O Hans Raj R/O Ward No. 17 near Santoshi Mata Mandir, Udhampur, confessed to the crime. He was promptly arrested, and stolen property was recovered on the basis of his confession. Further investigation in the case is ongoing. Udhampur Police has reiterated its commitment to swift justice and community safety. |
