JAMMU, Apr 30: The Jammu & Kashmir Police in Jammu District organized a heartfelt farewell function today to honor officers retiring from active service. The event, held at District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu, marked the superannuation of Inspector Sunil Dutt, Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Arnia, along with six Sub-Inspectors of Jammu Police.
Inspector Sunil Dutt retired after an illustrious 41-year career with J&K Police, during which he served in various key roles. The retiring Sub-Inspectors also completed 36 to 40 years of dedicated service, making significant contributions to the force throughout their careers.
A warm send-off was extended by officers and officials of all ranks, with a simple yet meaningful farewell function. SP Headquarters Jammu, while addressing the gathering, commended the commitment, sincerity, and hard work of the retirees. He expressed his gratitude for their long and distinguished service and extended his best wishes for a healthy and peaceful post-retirement life. As a token of appreciation, mementos and gifts were presented to the retiring officers.
DySP DAR Jammu and several other officers were present at the event. They also shared kind words and praised the retirees for their valuable service to the department and society at large.
The ceremony reflected the deep respect and camaraderie within the police force and served as a fitting tribute to the officers who dedicated decades of their lives to public service.
