Jaypee University hosts HR Conclave 2025 to strengthen academia-industry synergy

WAKNAGHAT, May 3: Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, successfully hosted its flagship event, HR Conclave 2025, bringing together top HR professionals, corporate leaders, and academic experts for a collaborative dialogue on bridging the gap between academia and industry in today's digital age.
The conclave commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by esteemed dignitaries including Narinder Ahluwalia (EVP, Covalience), Debashish Ghosh (Sr. VP, Berkadia), Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Kumar Sharma (Vice Chancellor, JUIT), Retd. Brig. R.K. Sharma, Retd. Brig. Sanjay Dawar, and Prof. Sunil Kumar Khah, in the presence of all Deans, HoDs, faculty members, and students. The event was compered by Prof. Hemant Sood, who also delivered the welcome address.
Two impactful keynote addresses set the tone for the event.
Narinder Ahluwalia spoke on "From Campus to Corporate: Equipping Freshers for Employer Expectations", sharing vital insights into aligning student readiness with evolving corporate demands.
Debashish Ghosh addressed "Generative AI in Cyber Threats", highlighting the emerging challenges at the intersection of HR, AI, and cybersecurity.
The event featured two thought-provoking panel discussions:
"The Fresher's Dilemma - Is Technical Expertise Enough?"
Moderated by Ravneet Malik (Netsmartz), the panel included experts like Ritu Sharma (Brillio), Teevrta Kaul (Net Solutions), Anisha Raghav (Edifecs), Manisha Parmar (KPMG), and Akash Deep Sharma (Ind-Swift Group). The session emphasized the growing importance of soft skills alongside technical acumen.
"Accelerating Career Readiness: The Power of Internships & Practical Projects"
Moderated by Rishika Verma Vohra, the panel featured Karishma Sharma (EY), Sanjeev Doshi (RCFL), Narendra Sharma (NTPC), Madhuri Sankhyan (Paxcom), Jahanvi Singh (SEO Discovery), and Prof. R.K. Sharma (VC, JUIT). Panelists highlighted the critical role of hands-on learning and industry exposure in shaping career-ready graduates.
Participants actively exchanged insights on HR trends, talent development, digital workplace transformation, and inclusion strategies. The event, coordinated by Pankaj Manta from the Training and Placement Cell, facilitated robust student-industry engagement.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, affirmed JUIT's mission to produce industry-ready professionals, stating, "HR Conclave 2025 reinforces our vision of nurturing graduates equipped with the right blend of academic knowledge and practical skills."
