Early Times Report
RS PURA, May 3: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC), R.S. Pura, organized a poster display event centered on the Viksit Vibrant Village Program (VVVP) under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, Principal of the college, and the supervision of Dr. Chanchal Angral, NSS Program Officer. This initiative is part of the nationwide vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, aiming to transform and empower India's border villages through improved infrastructure, sustainable livelihoods, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
The posters, designed to highlight the objectives and benefits of the VVVP, were displayed on the college notice board by NSS volunteers. The display sought to spread awareness among students and encourage participation in nation-building activities. As part of the event, students were also registered on the My Bharat Portal, aligning themselves as future leaders of the Viksit Bharat mission.
Principal Dr. Preetpal Kour, while speaking at the event, emphasized the significance of such activities in sensitizing youth to developmental initiatives and involving them in the national agenda. She added that these programs serve as a medium to inspire students to contribute meaningfully to the transformation of rural and border communities.
Faculty members Dr. Akriti Parihar, Dr. Hari Singh, Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch, and Dr. Savleen Kour were also present during the event and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students.
The event highlighted GDC R.S. Pura's continued commitment to fostering civic responsibility and promoting government schemes aimed at inclusive development.
