Samba police seizes five vehicles for illegal mining activities | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, May 3: In a continued crackdown on illegal mining, Samba Police seized five vehicles involved in the unlawful transportation and extraction of construction materials in the jurisdictions of Police Station Samba and Police Station Ghagwal. The operation was carried out by police teams led by SHO Police Station Samba, Incharge Police Post Supwal, and Incharge Police Post Rajpura during routine patrolling duties. The seized vehicles include two dumpers (JK08L-2364 & JK08F-1273) and three tractor trolleys (JK14F-2801, JK08M-9526 & JK21J-3081), all of which were found transporting construction material without proper authorization. Following the seizure, the vehicles were handed over to the Department of Geology & Mining, Samba for further legal proceedings. The Samba Police reaffirmed its commitment to curbing illegal mining in the district and warned that strict action will continue against those found violating environmental and mining regulations. |
