Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 3: Rotary Club Jammu City, under the leadership of President Rtn. Shivangi Gupta, organized a meaningful donation drive at V.K. Sarvodaya Middle School, Rajeev Nagar. The club distributed around 200 pre-owned, gently used, and well-maintained school bags, water bottles, and tiffin boxes to underprivileged students, aiming to support their educational needs.
These essential items were collected from students of two esteemed institutions-Jodhamal Public School and Shaurya International School. Both schools came forward with great enthusiasm to support the Rotary Club in this noble cause. Through this initiative, privileged students were not only able to contribute tangible support but also learned the valuable lesson of giving and helping those who are less fortunate.
President Rtn. Shivangi Gupta interacted with the students, encouraging them to focus on their education and highlighting its crucial role in shaping their futures. She emphasized that education is the most powerful tool to build a successful and empowered life.
Rotarians present at the event included Rtn. Sanjeev Vaid, Rtn. Ritika Mahajan, Rtn. Arvind Kotwal, Rtn. Sham Sundan, and Ms. Anita Sharma, all of whom played active roles in making the event impactful.
This compassionate effort by Rotary Club Jammu City not only brought smiles to many young faces but also promoted a spirit of empathy, responsibility, and community involvement among the next generation
