Panun Kashmir urges Government to declare Pakistan a terrorist state | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 3: In a strongly worded press conference held at the Press Club in Jammu, Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, Chairman of Panun Kashmir, called on the Government of India (GoI) to take decisive action in response to the recent massacre of Hindus in Pahalgam. Describing the attack as ideologically driven and genocidal in nature, Dr. Chrungoo said it underscores the urgent need to revise the nation's security doctrine. "We unequivocally support all operations by the Government of India against Pakistan to punish and deter its role in sponsoring terrorism on Indian soil," Dr. Chrungoo stated at the outset. The Pahalgam massacre, which he termed a "gruesome act," was not the result of a lapse in security arrangements, he argued, but a consequence of "serious flaws in the security doctrine" adopted by the central government. He emphasized that unless these doctrinal flaws are corrected, India may witness more such tragedies. Dr. Chrungoo characterised the ongoing violence in Jammu and Kashmir as a form of "Jihadi terrorism" aimed at the "destruction and disintegration of Hindu demography" in the region. He asserted that the failure to acknowledge this ideological and genocidal aspect constitutes a national failure and obstructs a comprehensive response to the threat. Referencing the historic exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the 1990s, Dr. Chrungoo said, "Genocidal war unleashed in Kashmir has not remained confined to the Valley but is now unfolding in other parts of India including Manipur, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Kerala." He described the situation as a "continuum of genocidal attrition" against Hindus, demanding immediate recognition and response from the state. He invoked the late Gen. Bipin Rawat's concept of a "2.5 front war", suggesting that the GoI has not yet effectively tackled the 'half front'-internal ideological subversion and terrorism. Accusing certain political narratives of "funeral secularism", Dr. Chrungoo criticised attempts to "fudge and obscure" the real ideological motivations behind attacks like Pahalgam. He warned against policies that deny the Hindu Genocide, stating such denial fuels and sustains the ecosystem of terrorism. Demands Made by Panun Kashmir: Immediate declaration of Pakistan as a terrorist state. Official recognition by the GoI of the genocide committed against Hindus in Kashmir, which, according to him, continues to this day. Panun Kashmir, which represents displaced Kashmiri Hindus, has consistently pushed for a tougher stance on terrorism and a formal acknowledgment of the exodus and killings of the 1990s as acts of genocide. Dr. Chrungoo concluded by warning that unless these issues are addressed with clarity and political will, the nation could face greater internal threats in the near future. |
