Ramban police arrest two absconders evading arrest for 18 and 14 years

RAMBAN, May 5: Continuing its crackdown against absconders Ramban Police on the directions of SSP Ramban Shri Kulbir Singh apprehended two absconders wanted in two different cases of Police Station Batote and Ramban. The detail is as: Tanveet Ahmed son of Mohd Iqbal resident of Razkang Tehsil Larnoo District Anantnag wanted in case FIR No. 20/2007 U/S 188/RPC, 3 PC Act and Sections 146/196/56 M V Act of Police Station Batote. The said absconder was evading arrest since last 18 years. Mohd Mussa @ Gatia son of Mohd Shafi resident of Sidra Jammu wanted in case FIR No. 94/2011 U/S 188/RPC of P/S Ramban. The said absconder was evading his arrest since last 14 years. The above named accused persons were absconding and evading their arrest since last 18 and 14 years respectively with a motive to avoid the legal proceedings. General Warrant of Arrest under section 512 CrPC against the above named accused were issued by the Hon'ble Courts. The Police team of Police Station Batote and Ramban after hectic efforts arrested the above named absconders and produced them before the concerned courts.
