JAMMU, May 6: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Jammu (JKHCBAJ), organized a grand felicitation ceremony at the Jammu Wing of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh to honour its esteemed members who have been elected to the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly. The Bar Association felicitated Advocate Muzaffar Iqbal Khan (MLA Thanamandi), Advocate R.S. Pathania (MLA Udhampur East), and Advocate Arjun Singh Raju (MLA Ramban) for their electoral success and exemplary contributions to public service.
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended by K. Nirmal Kotwal (President, JKHCBAJ), S. Baldev Singh (Vice President), Pardeep Majotra (General Secretary), Anshu Mahajan (Joint Secretary), and Rahul Aggarwal (Treasurer), along with a large gathering of senior and young advocates. The newly elected MLAs were presented with bouquets, shawls, and mementos, reflecting the Bar's admiration and respect.
In his keynote address, President Kotwal expressed immense pride in the Bar Association's legacy and its pivotal role in nurturing leaders committed to justice and public welfare. He described the election of three advocates to the Legislative Assembly as a historic moment and a testament to the Association's dedication to democratic and legal values.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the announcement of development funds for Bar Halls, pledged by all three MLAs, signifying their continued support for the legal fraternity even in their new legislative roles.
The honoured MLAs, in their addresses, shared emotional and inspiring reflections on their legal and political journeys. They reaffirmed their commitment to upholding justice, rule of law, and serving the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
The celebration marked a significant milestone in the Association's history-a day that not only celebrated individual achievements but also underscored the Bar's enduring role in shaping leaders and strengthening democratic institutions. The event concluded with a collective vow to continue serving the cause of justice with unity, integrity, and purpose.
