Mini-Super Bazar M-PACS Maitra inaugurated in Ramban | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, May 8: The Cooperative Mini-Super Bazar M-PACS Maitra, established by the Cooperative Department Ramban under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, with a project cost of Rs. 95.42 lakh, was formally inaugurated today for public service. The state-of-the-art retail facility was jointly inaugurated by Chairperson, District Development Council Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan, and Member Legislative Assembly Ramban, Arjun Singh Raju. The inauguration ceremony was held in the august presence of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary; Senior Superintendent of Police, Ramban, Sh. Kulbir Singh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Varunjeet Singh Charak; Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Societies, Priyanka Sharma; along with prominent citizens, officers from various departments, and officials of the Cooperative Department. Speaking on the occasion, the Chairperson emphasized the significance of strengthening grassroots-level cooperative institutions for boosting the local economy and creating self-sustaining employment avenues. She lauded the department's efforts in executing the project efficiently and hoped that the Mini-Super Bazar would meet the essential commodity needs of the public at fair prices. The MLA congratulated the Cooperative Department and the district administration for completing this public-centric initiative. He stressed the importance of such cooperative ventures in enhancing market access for local producers and generating economic opportunities in rural and semi-urban areas. The Deputy Commissioner advised the Cooperative Department and the managing staff to ensure quality services, maintain transparency, and adopt people-friendly practices. He highlighted the potential of the Mini-Super Bazar to serve as a model for similar projects in other parts of the district and reaffirmed the administration's commitment to empowering cooperative institutions for inclusive development. Earlier, the Deputy Registrar, gave the detailed briefing of Cooperative Mini Super Bazar, she emphasized that Cooperative Mini super Bazar would also cater to the farmers of the area who deal in production of organic and local products by giving them a platform to sell their produce to the customers. The Mini Super Bazar houses a special organic and local produce section for that purpose, so that the local farmers of the area can sell their produce at competitive prices instead of falling prey to distress selling at low prices. The project also would lead to employment generation for the youth of the area and would also go a long way in enhancing the financial prospects of the society. |
