JAMMU, May 8: In a humanitarian initiative, the Management of Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) & Hospital, led by its President Swami Prem Vivekanand, has announced free-of-cost treatment for victims of border shelling and firing incidents.
In a statement issued by Dr. Gautam Mengi, Joint Secretary of ASCOMS & Hospital, it was conveyed that the Governing Body of the institution has taken this step as a moral responsibility to serve the nation and extend support to those living under the constant threat of cross-border hostility.
"This initiative is aimed purely at aiding victims who suffer due to shelling and firing along the borders," Dr. Mengi said, adding that ASCOMS is fully prepared and equipped to provide the best possible medical care to affected individuals.
The decision has been widely appreciated as a significant gesture of solidarity with border residents, who frequently endure hardship due to unprovoked aggression and escalating tensions. |
