Tehsil Bahu Chemists Association holds first general body meeting, elects new office bearers

JAMMU, May 9: The first General Body Meeting of the Tehsil Bahu Chemists Association was held today at Hotel Tick Tak Villa, Channi Himmat, marking a significant step toward strengthening the pharmaceutical trade community in the region. The meeting saw active participation from chemist delegates representing areas including Bathindi, Trikuta Nagar, Channi, Sainik Colony, Greater Kailash, and surrounding localities.
The session focused on discussing various pressing issues impacting the trade. Members deliberated in detail on challenges faced by chemists and resolved to collectively work toward constructive solutions in future deliberations.
In a unanimous decision, the General House proposed and accepted the nomination of Madam Fareeda Parveen of M/s F.P. Pharmacy as Chairperson and Sh. Rajinder Parshad of M/s Maruti Chemists as Vice Chairperson of the association.
The following members were also unanimously elected to key positions:
Mohan Lal Sharma - President
Imtiaz Ahmed - Vice President
Sourav Jandial - General Secretary
Suresh Kumar - Joint Secretary
Ashwani Sharma - Treasurer
Vansh Raj Raina - Joint Treasurer
S. Manjeet Singh - Organizing Secretary
The newly formed executive body has been entrusted with the responsibility of nominating area-wise representatives to the Executive Committee, ensuring balanced and inclusive representation across Tehsil Bahu.
Addressing the gathering, the newly elected team expressed their commitment to transforming the Tehsil Bahu Chemists Association into a financially accountable, transparent, and model institution dedicated to the welfare of the pharmaceutical trade.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Mr. Naveen Bali, appreciating the presence and unity of the chemist community in laying the foundation for a stronger, more organized association.
