Jammu, May 9: Amid the escalation of tension along the Line of Control (LoC) by repeated misdemeanours of Pakistan, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha made an unannounced visit to frontline soldiers in the Baramulla and Uri sectors on Monday, reinforcing morale amid heightened hostilities with Pakistan following India’s decisive strikes on terrorist camps. Interacting with the jawans stationed near the border, LG Sinha posed the iconic question, “How is the josh?” The troops responded with a resounding “High, Saheb!” reflecting their unwavering readiness. “It is a proud privilege to be among the Bravest of the Brave, our heroes in Baramulla,” Sinha declared. “Their sole dream and resolve is to destroy the enemy, protect Bharat’s sovereignty, and safeguard our citizens. Jai Hind Ki Sena!” Addressing the nation, particularly the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Sinha assured, “You are in safe hands.” He praised the soldiers’ determination, stating, “The entire nation draws inspiration from their valour. May Prabhu Shri Ram grant them strength to decimate the enemy.” The visit follows an intense face-off triggered by India’s Operation Sindoor, which destroyed nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Thursday. Pakistan retaliated with a barrage of missiles, drones, and munitions targeting Indian territory, but India’s advanced air defence systems intercepted every threat, preventing any from reaching their targets. As cross-border shelling intensifies, Sinha issued a stern warning: “If you harm any Indian citizen, we will hunt you down.” Emphasizing the need for peace to ensure prosperity, he reaffirmed the commitment of India’s security forces to neutralize terror threats and restore stability in the region. |
