Shiksha Niketan celebrates 114th birth anniversary

JAMMU, May 13: In a heartfelt tribute to the founder and guiding light of its institution, Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu, solemnly commemorated the 114th birth anniversary of its revered Founder Principal, Late Dev Dutt Mengi. The occasion was observed with deep spiritual reverence and a profound sense of gratitude, reflecting the lasting impact of his vision and values.
The ceremony began with a sacred Pooja, invoking the blessings of Maa Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries from the Shiksha Niketan family, including the School Principal Rameshwar Mengi, Director of RMPS Rakshan Mengi, Director of Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar and Pushp Vatika Risheek Mengi, Headmaster of Shiksha Niketan Jeevan Nagar Harish Sharma, as well as incharges and staff members from the Primary, Middle, High, and Higher Secondary wings.
Principal Rameshwar Mengi delivered the welcome address, offering a touching reflection on the life and legacy of Late Dev Dutt Mengi. He highlighted the founder's remarkable contributions to the field of education and his unwavering dedication to humanitarian values. "His vision of quality education blended with character-building continues to guide us every day," said the Principal during his address.
The celebration concluded with a Preeti Bhoj (Langer), symbolizing unity and the spirit of togetherness that Late Sh. Mengi Ji always promoted. Teachers and staff members came together in this shared meal, honoring the legacy of a man who laid the foundation of an educational institution that has shaped countless lives.
