4th Ravi Tikku Memorial Speedball Championship concludes at RM Public School

JAMMU, May 24: The 4th Ravi Tikku Memorial Speedball Championship 2025, organized by the J&K Sports Speedball Association in collaboration with JP World School, concluded on a high note at the JP World School Auditorium. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 200 players representing various reputed schools of Jammu city.
Participating schools included Crescent Public School, Dogra Higher Secondary School, S.D. Tara Puri High School, R.M. Public School, Army Public School Sunjwan, JP World School, and Jammu Sanskriti School, among others.
The championship was graced by Devyani Rana, Vice President BJP J&K, as the Chief Guest. The event also saw the presence of Dr. Ashwani Jojra, Founding President & Area Director, Special Olympics Bharat J&K UT; Mrs. Pooja Malhotra, Founder Patron JKSBA; Ms. Aparna Kohli, Principal JP World School; Munish Gupta, Vice President JKSBA; Mr. Sahil Bandral, Manager Special Olympics J&K UT; and Ms. Aastha Nanda, Secretary JKSBA.
Chief Guest Devyani Rana lauded the association's efforts in engaging a large number of young boys and girls in sports and promoting speedball across the region. Mr. Sunny Nanda, General Secretary of JKSBA, welcomed the dignitaries and provided a detailed presentation on the association's national and international achievements. The championship was held in memory of Shri Ravi Tikku, former President of JKSBA and a prominent figure in promoting speedball in the UT.
The matches were efficiently officiated by a team of referees including Sahil Kaith, Gurvansh Choudhary, Vishal Kumar, Vanshika Manhas, Amer Koshal, Kailash Kashyap, Yogant Singh, and Jagdeep Janjua, under the overall supervision of Mr. Sunny Nanda.
In a fiercely competitive tournament:
lRM Public School emerged as the Overall Champion,
lCrescent Public School secured the 1st Runner-Up position, and
lJP World School stood as the 2nd Runner-Up.
lJammu Sanskriti School received the "Big Team" Award for its spirited participation.
All the medal winners from the event have qualified for the upcoming District Level Speedball Championship.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. Pooja Malhotra, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, marking a proud and patriotic end to the successful event.
