JAMMU, May 27: Induction program for freshly enrolled learners of January 2025 admission cycle associated with Learner Support Centre of IGNOU (Code: 1232), Govt. MAM College Jammu for all programmes was organized in the Auditorium of Govt. M.A.M. College Jammu today in face to face mode. Around 250 students of various disciplines and programmes participated in the program. As many as 1130 students of various programmes like BAG, BAM, BCOM, BSCM, BBA, MSO, MHD, CTPM, PGDESD, PGDGI and more have opted for LSC 1232, Govt. M.A.M. College as their Centre for support services.
This is the only Study Centre in the entire Jammu region where BSCM programme is activated for support services to the learners. Dr. Archana Koul, Principal Govt. MAM College, Coordinator of the LSC 1232, Prof. Neeraj Sharma, Assistant Coordinators, Academic Counsellors of various programmes and staff of the Study Centre were present on the occasion. A team of Academics from the Regional Centre Jammu comprising Assistant Regional Directors, Dr. Asha Upadhyay, Dr. Vikram Singh and Dr. Zeba under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director were present in the program as Resource Persons.
Dr. Sandeep Gupta briefed the learners about various academic activities of IGNOU to be carried out during the course of their respective programmes. Several queries and issues of learners were discussed and resolved in an interactive session with the resource persons.
On the insistence of students concerned an online Induction Program was also organized subsequently in which a number of queries of the students were addressed on the spot. The students were in high spirits and expressed their happiness for having participated in the Induction meeting in face to face mode as well as virtually. |
