5/28/2025 10:01:26 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, May 28: Jammu and Kashmir Police’s State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Wednesday apprehended a proclaimed offender in north Kashmir who is allegedly part of cross border narco-terror module. Police said a proclaimed offender Abdul Rashid Mir of Amargarh, Sopore in Baramulla district was at large for the last two years.
“The arrest of Abdul Rashid Mir is a major jolt to the nacro-terror operatives across the border who push the youth to drugs besides using the proceeds to fuel terrorism in the UT,’ police said
Police said Mir is a member of a cross-border narco-terror module linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) which is involved in smuggling narcotics and small arms into Sopore and distributing them across the Valley.
His arrest, in connection with FIR 19/2022, marks the eight in the case, with seven operatives already in custody.
