JAMMU, May 29: One day awareness programme was held at Govt. Degree College for Women Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, which was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu under the supervision of Dy.SP. Zia-ul- Haq, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu. 250 students/ including NCC cadets and staff of College have participated. Awareness about the basic knowledge of First Aid, Fire fighting, CPR and other life saving techniques were given to the students by the Civil Defence expert. In view of the current security situation in the state, the students were also informed about precautionary measures during an airstrike and precautions to be taken during natural or man-made disasters.
Dr. Geetangli Aandotra, Principal GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu appreciated the role of Civil Defence organization and thanked the Civil Defence team for organizing such important awareness-cum-demonstration programme.
Col. Muneesh Jasrotia, 8JK Girls Bn. NCC, Sh. Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden CD, Jammu, Sh. R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, Cap. Shivani Sharma and staff of NCC Gandhi Nagar also present on the occasion. |
