Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 29: In a major political development that signals shifting dynamics in Jammu and Kashmir's political landscape, Kuldeep Raj Sharma, a prominent BJP leader from Block Bhalwal in the Nagrota Constituency, officially joined the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) at a well-attended event held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu.
The induction ceremony was presided over by Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of the JKNC, who extended a warm welcome to Kuldeep Raj Sharma, hailing his decision as a testament to the growing appeal of the National Conference among leaders and the public alike.
Addressing the gathering, Rattan Lal Gupta said, "Under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Omar Abdullah, the National Conference is fast emerging as a powerful and resurgent political force in Jammu and Kashmir. Our party is firmly rooted in the principles of democracy, development, and dignity for all."
The senior NC leader lambasted the BJP for what he termed as "a decade of divisive, deceptive, and directionless politics," accusing the party of betraying the trust of the people of J&K. "The BJP's tenure has been marked by broken promises, soaring unemployment, inflation, and growing disillusionment among the youth. Their recent electoral rhetoric is nothing more than hollow gimmickry," he added.
Welcoming Kuldeep Raj Sharma into the NC fold, Rattan Lal Gupta remarked, "The entry of senior leaders like Kuldeep Raj Sharma into our party reflects the deepening trust in the National Conference's vision for an inclusive and progressive Jammu and Kashmir. It is a clear indicator of the political tide turning in favor of truth, unity, and development."
The Provincial President strongly reaffirmed the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference's steadfast and unwavering commitment to the core values of secularism, social harmony, and inclusive growth. He emphasized that the party remains dedicated to fostering an environment where people from all communities coexist peacefully and with mutual respect.
He highlighted that the National Conference's vision is rooted in ensuring equitable development that benefits every region and every segment of society within the Union Territory. He further stressed that this commitment is central to building a prosperous, united, and resilient Jammu and Kashmir for present and future generations.
