Jammu, May 29: Continuing the interactive touring pattern Worthy Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar visited District Reasi on 29-05-2025 and took detailed review of overall healthcare services and different programmes being run under Health Department being provided to the patients. DHS was accompanied by Deputy Director Schemes Dr. Poonam Sethi and Assistant Director Schemes Dr.Ila Gupta. As part of his ongoing efforts to assess and streamline the functioning of healthcare services Director Health Services Jammu had a threadbare discussion with all present in the meeting and took stock of the current challenges being faced. Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar directed Chief Medical Officer, Reasi Dr. M A Kohli to ensure effective execution and monitoring for better implementation of every programme at grass root level so that public of Reasi get benefitted from all the services being provided by Health Department. DHS gave assurance to provide all the necessary requirements of manpower and infrastructure for improving patient care and effective functioning of the Health services in all the facilities of District Reasi. DHS was impressed with working of Health Department District Reasi and instructed all BMOs to strengthen the system by ensuring time to time trainings of all the staff.
The meeting was attended by Medical Superintendent, DH Reasi, Dy CMO Reasi, BMO Katra, Pouni and I/C BMO Reasi & Mahore, Nodal Officer RBSK, DPMU Reasi.
Later, DHS Jammu visited District Hospital Reasi and inspected key facilities in the health institution.DHS took round of all sections of the institution including Emergency Room, ICU, X-Ray section, Wards, Labour Room, OT, Dental section, Laboratory,etc. The facilities were functional and during interaction with patients and attendants it was observed that services were provided to the entire satisfaction of public. DHS emphasized the importance of patient satisfaction and efficient service delivery and highlighted the departments commitment to improve public healthcare in the region.
Dy. Director Schemes inspected the MCH section, SNCU and Labour Room of DH Reasi along with AD Schemes. DD Schemes appreciated the working of all these Sections and instructed the incharge to continue working in the same manner for the benefit of the public.
This visit aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare delivery in the district and ensure optimal functioning of medical facilities for the well being of public.
