Jammu, May 30: Under the esteemed guidance of Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Central University of Jammu today successfully organized a free eye checkup camp in collaboration with Sharp Sight Eye Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The camp provided free eye examinations and cataract screening facilities for university faculty, staff, and students.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior Ophthalmologist Dr. Rimpika Gupta stated, "The primary objective of such health camps is to enhance healthcare accessibility and provide quality medical services to all sections of society."
Dr. Vijayata Puri, Senior Medical Officer, Central University Jammu and camp coordinator, informed that the university plans to organize more such health initiatives in future to benefit larger numbers of people. "We are committed to continuing these welfare activities to serve our university community better," she added.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from university members who availed the free eye checkup facilities.
The expert team from Sharp Sight Eye Hospital conducted thorough examinations and provided necessary consultations.
Dr. Vijayata, expressed gratitude to all participants and the hospital team for making the camp a success. Such initiatives reflect Central University Jammu's commitment to the health and wellbeing of its academic community.
