Udhampur, May 28: Udhampur Police arrested a notorious drug peddler during routine naka checking at Tikri.
A police team from Police Post Tikri, led by its ICPP intercepted a car (JK14C-9894) coming from Jammu towards Udhampur. Upon frisking the driver, 11.27 grams of heroin (Chitta) was recovered from his possession.
The accused, identified as Shakti Singh @Shotu S/O Tarlok Singh R/O H No. 78, Ward No. 17, Shankar Nagar (Sallian Talab), Udhampur, was arrested on the spot.
A case under FIR No. 72/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.
Further investigation is underway.
