BANI, June 4: In a proactive move to address public grievances related to the Power Development Department (PDD), Dr. Rameshwar Singh, Hon'ble MLA from Bani constituency, convened a comprehensive meeting with PDD officials in the presence of SDM Bani.
The meeting was attended by XEN STD, AEE PDD, JEE, and all foremen from Bani and Dhuggan blocks. A wide range of issues raised by the public were discussed in detail, including delayed fault maintenance, slow transformer repairs, inflated electricity bills in comparison to meter readings, and unresponsive behavior of some PDD employees towards public complaints.
Dr. Rameshwar Singh expressed serious concern over the inefficiencies and directed the department officials to perform their duties with honesty and accountability. He emphasized the need for timely resolution of all public issues and instructed the officials to remain accessible and responsive to the people. He also underscored the importance of transparent billing and directed the department to ensure accuracy in readings to avoid unnecessary burden on consumers. The MLA made it clear that negligence or apathy towards public grievances will not be tolerated. The MLA reaffirmed his commitment to serve the people of Bani and stressed that strengthening basic infrastructure, especially power supply, remains a top priority. |
