Indian Army organises Sarpanch Sammelan with locals | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, June 4: The Indian Army organised a Sarpanch Sammelan at the remote village of Sangaldan in Ramban district. The attendees were briefed on the prevailing security situation & the growing threat of use of drugs/ narco amongst youth of the region. The event saw participation of over thirty (30) members including the Sarpanches. ex- Sarpanches, Panches and Maulvis, alongwith various other decision makers of the region who engaged in discussions on topics such as Healthcare, Social Media Awareness, Drug Awareness, recently launched government policies on rural development such as National Rural Livelihood Mission and Mumkin - Livelihood Generation Scheme for the unemployed youth. The event also spread awareness upon various initiatives taken by the Indian Army for welfare of the rural community. Army officials also sought suggestion & feedback to enhance welfare of local populace & alleviate issues concerning them. The Awam appreciated the initiative taken by the Indian Army and expressed their gratitude for providing them with a platform to voice their concerns and seek solutions. They also praised The Indian Army's efforts in rural development and expressed their willingness to work closely with the Indian Army in future. |
