Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 7: Jodhamal Public School continues to set new benchmarks in academic excellence, as its students made an impressive mark in the prestigious Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) - a national level science talent examination that aims to foster scientific curiosity and innovation among school students.
In the first level of the exam, conducted online in November 2024, 106 students from the school appeared, out of which 11 qualified for the State-level examination. The second level was held offline in December 2024 at CSIR-IIIM Jammu, where all 11 students proudly represented the school.
Among them, three students secured top ranks at the state level:
Soham Chandra Singh of Class VII secured 1st Rank
Jayendra Singh Jasrotia of Class IX secured 3rd Rank
Guransh Singh of Class VII secured 3rd Rank
Soham Chandra Singh emerged as the star performer, qualifying for the National Level held at IIT Kanpur in May 2025. Competing against the finest young minds from across the country, Soham showcased exceptional scientific aptitude and perseverance, clinching the 3rd Rank in the North Zone. He stood out as the only student from Jammu & Kashmir to achieve this prestigious distinction.
Carrying forward the school's tradition of excellence, Soham followed in the footsteps of last year's achiever, Ryan Lamba, who had bagged the 1st Rank in the North Zone. Soham's achievement not only reflects his personal brilliance but also highlights the school's unwavering commitment to nurturing talent and scientific thinking.
His success, along with that of Jayendra Singh Jasrotia and Guransh Singh, was guided by the dedicated mentorship of Ms. Shallu Singh Jamwal, LB Avinash Singh, Elizabeth, and Ridhima Jain, who played a vital role in preparing the students for the competitive stages of the exam.
Trustee Nandan Kuthiala, Director Arati Kuthiala, and Vice Principal Amita Arora extended their heartfelt congratulations to Soham for bringing glory to the school and the state. They lauded his exemplary dedication and intelligence, calling him a beacon of inspiration for all young learners.
This proud moment once again places Jodhamal Public School at the forefront of academic achievement, reinforcing its reputation as a hub of excellence and innovation.
