World Environment Day celebration - SBSSU, Gurdaspur | | | AGENCIES GURDASPUR, June 7: On the occasion of World Environment Day, a tree plantation campaign was successfully organized near Neskaf area of Sardar Bant Singh State University, Gurdaspur. The purpose of this campaign was to increase environmental awareness among students, teachers and employees and encourage the spirit of stability. On this occasion, Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. S.K. Mishra made attendance as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Registrar Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Dilbag Singh (Head of Department), DrJagdev Singh (Head of Department), Dr. Harish Pungotra (Dean Academic), Dr. Ranjit Singh, Dr. Gurpadam Singh, Dr. Sarabjit Sidhu (Dean), Public Relations Officer Dr. Nripjeet, NSS Coordinator Dr. Sandeep Gandotra, Shri Tarun Mahajan and other departmental program officials also participated. Responsible and enthusiastic volunteers associated with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Red Ribbon Club (RRC) also contributed to this sacred work. During the ceremony, Plan and Development Dean DrArvind Sharma and his team, in the coordination of Mr. Vikramjit, assured the Honorable Vice Chancellor that they would take care of individual plants to convert to strong and healthy trees.
