Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 7: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today organised a Dogri play "Galat Vyakaran" as a part of "Saptahik Rangadhara" weekly series . Written by Kumar A Bharti and directed by Mohit Singh Chib was staged today at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu, by Bhartiya Kala Sangam.
Sonali Arun Gupta, Additional Secretary, JKAACL and Dr. Javaid Rahi, Divisional Head, JKAACL, Jammu felicitated the Director of the group Sh. Ramesh Singh Chib and his team with a memento, appreciating their compelling artistic contribution.
"Galat Vyakaran" is a family drama that spans three generations, exploring the differing perspectives of each. The generational gap results in misunderstandings and minor conflicts within the family, especially between the father and son. The narrative not only captures the emotional intricacies of family life but also pays tribute to the valour of warriors from the Duggar region, making it a poignant blend of domestic drama and regional pride.
The play featured strong and heartfelt performances by the cast, including Janak Khajuria as Babuji, Pardeep Sharma as Sunil, Sheetal as Sheetal, Ankit Sharma as Vivek, Disha Bhagat as Neelu, and Saksham Chib as Nikka, each bringing depth and authenticity to their roles and earning praise from the audience.
The success of the production was also made possible by a committed backstage team-lighting by Sunil Sharma, background music by Mohit Singh, set and properties by Ankit, costumes by Sheetal and Disha. The production was coordinated by Vivek Sangotra.
The proceedings of the event were conducted by Anil Tickoo, ACO, JKAACL.
The next presentation under Saptahik Rangdhara will be the Kashmiri play Gadd Bateh by Pir Panchal (CESES) Organisation, scheduled for Saturday, 14th June 2025.
