Early Times Report JAMMU, June 11: 2nd group of Tawi Trekkers J&K comprising 44 students including 29 girls of St. Xavier Convent Sr, Sec. School, Barnai, Jammu left Jammu today to participate in the Dharamshala Himalayan Trekking Programme being organized by the club under the Chairmanship of Sh. Anil Goswami, former Home Secretary, Govt. of India. The group being led by President of the club Shawetica Khajuria and Prerna Charak, a senior trekker also includes three teachers of the school namely Aditya Padha, Anchal Charak and Tanvi Talgotra. Earlier, the group was flagged off by Mridhu Padha, Vice Principal of the school in the presence of staff of the school and a large number of parents of the students. The itinerary of the 4 days programme is well planned with a mix of relaxation, exploration and adventure. It will provide an opportunity to the young students to explore nature and challenge themselves thereby building in them confidence, resilience and team work skills.With elaborate boarding and lodging arrangements made for the students' comfort and safety the venture promises to be an enriching experience. The next group shall leave on 13th June, 2025. |
