Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 12: Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to women's safety and community justice, the Synergetic Green Warriors Foundation (SGWF) successfully resolved a domestic violence case in Bhaderwah, bringing immediate relief and support to the victim. The intervention was led by Dr. Sonia Verma, Director & CEO of SGWF, along with Makhani Verma, Vice President, and Manu Kotwal, General Secretary and Cell Incharge for Women & Family Support Cases. Upon receiving the complaint, the team immediately mobilized and conducted on-ground counselling, family engagement, and follow-up support-ensuring a peaceful and just resolution.
"Justice and dignity for women are non-negotiable. SGWF stands beside every woman in distress," said Dr. Sonia Verma, addressing the press following the intervention.
This is not an isolated case. Since 2023, SGWF has resolved 129 cases of domestic violence across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Each case has been handled with urgency, empathy, and a solutions-focused approach, often involving field visits, legal referrals, family counselling, and coordination with local authorities. Ms. Manu Kotwal, the General Secretary and Incharge of the Women and Family Support Cell, plays a pivotal frontline role in handling these sensitive cases.
"I am always ready-day or night-to attend to any complaint. No woman should feel alone or unheard. SGWF is here to help," said Ms. Kotwal, who has gained the trust of hundreds of families through her active and dedicated service. The Foundation has built a reputation for swift field response, strong legal coordination, and compassionate social counselling. Its Women and Family Support Cell operates actively across J&K and is supported by experts in psychology, law, and social work.
Through its ongoing domestic violence support initiative, SGWF not only resolves individual cases but also works to build awareness, resilience, and community responsibility. The Foundation urges women across J&K to reach out without fear, assuring them of complete confidentiality, dignity, and protection.
