BISHNAH, June 17: The much-anticipated 3rd Annual Dangal Competition 2025 took center stage today in village Chak Chimna, bringing with it a vibrant display of strength, discipline, and community spirit. Organized by the Dangal Committee, Chak Chimna, the event once again captivated thousands of spectators with electrifying bouts and the unwavering energy of participants.
Wrestlers from across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and neighboring states descended upon Chak Chimna to compete in this prestigious event. The competition culminated in a thrilling final match where Rashid Vijaypuri emerged victorious, defeating Sagar of New Delhi in a hard-fought contest that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.
Chief Guest Sh. Irshad Ahmed Rather, Superintendent of Police, Headquarters, Jammu, lauded the efforts of the Dangal Committee for organizing such a grand event under "Nasha Mukt Bharat" that not only promotes traditional sports but also empowers local youth by providing a platform to showcase their skills. He emphasized the importance of channeling youth energy toward nation-building and urged them to stay away from the scourge of drugs.
Guest of Honour, Mr. Vijay Singh, Sarpanch, also commended the organizers and highlighted the cultural and social value of traditional sports like Dangal in nurturing discipline and unity among youth.
During the event, cash prizes were distributed among the winners by the chief guest, and felicitation of the organizing committee for exceptional contribution in organizing the event and promoting awareness against drug abuse among the youth.
The Dangal featured multiple matches across various weight categories, offering something for everyone in attendance. From experienced wrestlers to emerging talents, the event was a celebration of athletic excellence and mutual respect.
The success of Dangal 2025 was made possible through the unwavering support of the local community, with key figures from the village and nearby areas showing up in strength. Distinguished attendees included Panchs Janak Raj and Baldev Raj, Bishan Jangral, Mast Ram, Devi Singh Bogal, Deepak Bogal, Anchal Raj EX-TSO Namberder, Hans Raj Chowkider, Balwan Lal, Sham Mehra, Tarsem Singh Bogal, Capt. Manohar Lal, Darshan Kumar, Subedar Dalbir Singh, Sham Lal, Alam Husain, Dalip Kumar, Retd Insp Yashpal, Surinder Verma, Balwinder Kumar, Kapil Dev, Tarsem Lal, Madan Lal, Pyare Lal, Goutam Verma, Satish Kumar, Sansar Chand (Bittu), Parshotam Sharma, Som Nath, Parshotam Kumar, Sandeep Verma, Faqir Nath Yogi and many more prominent residents.
