Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha recently stated that the efforts made by the J&K Administration, under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, to build a Jammu and Kashmir, which is free from all kinds of discrimination, fear and insecurity, have proven that where there is a will, there is a way. Lieutenant Governor Sinha pointed out that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Jammu and Kashmir is regaining its identity as the ‘Paradise on Earth.’ This is not mere rhetoric—it reflects the tangible changes visible across the region. From unprecedented investments in infrastructure and industry to the growth of tourism, digital governance, and youth engagement, the transformation is visible and impactful. Crucially, these changes have been anchored in a vision of a Jammu and Kashmir free from discrimination, fear, and insecurity. This is evident in the increasing trust in democratic processes, rising voter turnout, and the growing participation of marginalized communities in governance and development. Security forces, administration, and civil society have worked in unison to create an environment of peace and opportunity. While scrapping of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, paved the way for J&K’s complete integration, June 6, 2025 physically connected Kashmir to Kanyakumari and its citizens’ aspirations with national mainstream. The combined significance of August 5 and June 6 cannot be overstated. While one date symbolizes the constitutional and emotional integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the Union of India, the other marks its physical and infrastructural embrace into the national fold. Together, they represent the culmination of decades of aspiration and the dawn of a new era. Today, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are not just beneficiaries but active participants in India’s growth story. The road ahead is one of immense opportunity, and with sustained peace, inclusive development, and visionary leadership, Jammu and Kashmir is poised to reclaim its rightful place as a shining jewel in India’s crown. LG Sinha reiterated that his administration has been successful to a large extent in realising the vision of 4 Ps – Peace, Progress, Prosperity and People First. Infrastructure has transformed at an unprecedented pace and economy has shown impressive growth after 2019. The administration has paid special attention to transform urban landscape and develop the cities. In Kashmir nightlife has returned and Jammu and Kashmir’s relationship with lakes and rivers has been revived after decades. |
