Samba, June 17: Acting tough against criminals, Samba Police booked a hardcore criminal under the J&K Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in District Jail Poonch. The hardcore criminal namely Ayoub Ahmed S/o Shamas Din R/o Basoli district Kathua A/P Teli Basti Bari Brahmana district Samba has been booked under PSA after obtaining formal detention order from the District Magistrate Samba. The booked criminal has been subsequently lodged in District Jail Poonch. The said criminal is involved in sixteen (16) cases registered against him at different Police Stations of district Kathua, district Jammu and district Samba viz PS Rajbagh, PS Kathua, PS Bahu Fort, PS Gangyal, PS Arnia, PS Nagrota and PS Bari Brahmana. The repeated criminal activities of the said hardcore criminal have posed a serious threat to public peace and tranquility in the district and adjoining areas. |
