JAMMU, June 18: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Kavinder Gupta, has hailed the upcoming inauguration of North India's first oceanarium, and the third in the country, at Bagh-e-Bahu in Jammu. This landmark project, nearing completion, is poised to become a game-changer for the region's tourism economy, showcasing the dynamic governance and visionary leadership of the BJP-led administration.
The state-of-the-art oceanarium, a pioneering initiative in North India, will offer visitors an unparalleled immersive experience, featuring a diverse range of aquatic life, including exotic fish species and majestic sharks. He expressed that the facility is designed to captivate tourists, marine enthusiasts, and families alike with its cutting-edge displays, providing both education and entertainment. This ambitious project underscores the BJP-led administration's commitment to enhancing Jammu's stature as a premier tourist destination while fostering economic growth in the region.
Speaking on the significance of the oceanarium, Kavinder Gupta remarked, "The completion of North India's first oceanarium in Jammu is a historic milestone that reflects the transformative vision of the BJP-led administration. This world-class facility will not only offer a unique experience for visitors but also position Jammu as a hub for tourism and economic development. By showcasing the wonders of marine life, we are creating opportunities for education, employment, and sustainable growth in the region."
The oceanarium, strategically located at the scenic Bagh-e-Bahu, is expected to draw thousands of visitors from across the country and beyond, boosting local businesses, hospitality, and allied sectors. The project aligns with the administration's broader agenda of promoting sustainable tourism and highlighting Jammu's rich cultural and natural heritage. The facility's advanced infrastructure, coupled with its focus on conservation and education, will provide a platform to raise awareness about marine ecosystems and their preservation.
Gupta further emphasized the economic ripple effect of the oceanarium, stating, "This project is a testament to the BJP's commitment to fostering development that benefits every section of society. The oceanarium will create direct and indirect employment opportunities, empower local entrepreneurs, and elevate Jammu's tourism profile on the national and global stage."
He elaborates that with the procurement of diverse fish species, including sharks, underway, the oceanarium is in its final stages of preparation and will soon open its doors to the public. This monumental initiative is set to redefine Jammu's tourism landscape, offering a unique blend of adventure, education, and entertainment. The BJP-led administration invites citizens, tourists, and marine enthusiasts to witness this historic milestone and experience the wonders of the ocean right in the heart of Jammu.
