KATRA, June 19: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, has achieved a significant milestone by securing a place in the 801-1000 band of the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025. This recognition places SMVDU among the leading academic institutions globally and reflects its growing reputation for academic excellence and research innovation. In the THE Asia University Rankings 2025, SMVDU has been ranked in the 301-350 band, a remarkable achievement that showcases the university's rising stature among premier Asian institutions. Additionally, in the THE India Rankings 2025, SMVDU has maintained its position in the 801-1000 band, affirming its steady progress among India's higher education landscape. Adding to its accolades, SMVDU has demonstrated strong performance in subject-specific global rankings: Engineering: Ranked in the 601-800 band and Physical Sciences: Ranked in the 601-800 band
These achievements underscore SMVDU's continuous investment in high-quality teaching, robust research infrastructure, and international academic partnerships.
