Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 20: Reaffirming its long-standing partnership with the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, J&K Bank today signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UT Government to provide a comprehensive bouquet of tailor-made banking facilities to all its permanent employees.
The MoU was signed by the Bank's Deputy General Manager Rajesh Dubey and Under Secretary (J&K Finance Department) Trikansh Bhushan at Civil Secretariat Jammu in presence of the Bank's General Manager & Divisional Head (Jammu) Sunit Kumar, Advisor Finance Department S L Pandita, and Government Liaising Officer Atul Sethi.
The renewed agreement cements Bank's position as the preferred banker for the UT Government, entitling its employees to a range of exclusive benefits including zero-balance salary accounts, free debit cards (with add-on cards for spouses), concessional interest rates on loans and comprehensive Group Personal Accident Insurance cover. The agreement also facilitates faster credit delivery through integration of employee data, streamlining salary, pension disbursements, and improving loan servicing efficiency.
The J&K Government, in turn, reaffirmed its exclusive banking engagement with the Bank, granting the Bank "Prefered Banker " status and committing to provide integrated employee data to ease credit and service delivery.
Speaking on the occasion, the Bank's General Manager and Divisional Head (Jammu) Sunit Kumar expressed his gratitude to the Government for their continued trust, saying, "We are truly thankful to the Government of Jammu & Kashmir for renewing this strategic partnership that reflects their faith in our institutional capabilities. With a renewed focus on service excellence and digital innovation, we remain committed to delivering financial empowerment and tailored solutions to every government employee in the UT."
"This MoU is a testament to our shared commitment to inclusive and customer-centric financial services. We are proud to support the dedicated workforce of the Government of J&K with benefits that go beyond conventional banking," he added.
