Kalakote, June 26: Under the able guidance of worthy Principal of the college Prof. Mohd Farooq Mirza. The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, observed annually on June 26, serves as a global platform to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and the need for collective action to combat illicit drug trafficking. In 2025, the theme “The Evidence is Clear: Invest in Prevention” emphasized the importance of evidence-based strategies to prevent drug abuse and promote healthy lifestyles. As part of the day’s events worthy Principal of the college, Prof. Mohd Farooq Mirza, delivered a powerful and inspiring speech during the Awareness Rally. His address resonated deeply with students and faculty emphasizing the need for collective action against drug abuse. Various awareness activities organized to engage Students and educate youth included Awareness Rally, Seminar on Drug Abuse Prevention, Essay-writing Competition, Fitness-oriented activities, etc. The 2025 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking successfully fostered community engagement and reinforced the importance of prevention. Through rallies, seminars, creative competitions, and fitness-oriented activities, the campaign effectively spread awareness and inspired individuals to take a stand against drug abuse. |
