| International Day against drug abuse, illicit trafficking | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 26: On the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Jammu Kashmir Chemists and Druggists Association (JKCDA), Jammu province reaffirms its commitment to building a drug-free society.
President Mr. Gurmeet Singh and General Secretary Mr. Ajay Gupta expressed deep concern over the rising menace of drug addiction, especially among the youth. They emphasized the critical role played by chemists and pharmacists in ensuring that prescription drugs are dispensed responsibly and strictly in accordance with the law.
“We urge all stakeholders – especially our chemist fraternity – to stand united against the misuse of pharmaceutical drugs. Let us continue to spread awareness, follow ethical practices, and collaborate with authorities to eradicate this growing threat,” said Mr. Gurmeet Singh.
JKCDA Jammu province pledges full support to all initiatives aimed at curbing drug abuse and calls upon the public to join hands in spreading awareness and promoting healthy lifestyles.
