JKTJAC deputation meets Education Minister, raises burning issues | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 26: Deputation of Jammu Kashmir TEACHERS'JOINT Action Committee ( JKTJAC) led by UT President Vinod Sharma and UT Chairman Saleem Sagar called on Education Minister Sakina Masood Itoo in her Office Chamber in Civil Secretariat Srinagar today on 26.06.2025 While interacting with the Minister Mr Vinod Sharma raised the various Burning issues of the teaching fraternity which include:- Provision of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme who have been working in the same schools for last more than 20 years, by implementing Govt. Order No.469 Dated 25.06.2014; Resumption of mutual transfer of teachers appointed under ReT scheme as many files are lying in the office of DSEJ; Inclusion of undergraduate courses in one time exemption policy so that their degrees be entered in their service records; While interacting Mr Saleem Sagar demanded the release of Mid Day Meals dues for more than 6 months which the teachers have managed from their own pockets ; He also raised the issue of release of carriage charges under MDM as same have not been released for last more than 5 years. Moreover JKTJAC leadership also demanded that MDM Scheme be handed over to NGOs/ PRIs or any other agency so that teachers get relieved of this assignment and they can concentrate on studies of the students. Restart of ReT scheme in Jammu and Kashmir to overcome the shortage of teachers was also demanded on the occasion. Education Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to consider these issues raised by the JKTJAC representatives on priority basis.
