Early Times Report JAMMU, June 26: As part of the ongoing preparations for Shri Amarnathji Yatra (SANJY) 2025, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ansuya Jamwal today conducted an extensive inspection of various registration centres across the city to review and assess on-ground arrangements. The inspection covered major sites including Ram Mandir, Geeta Bhawan, Mahajan Hall, Vaishnavi Dham, Saraswati Dham, Railway Station, Panchayat Bhawan and Yatri Niwas, for the facilities such as RFID tagging, eKYC, token issuance and medical screening to facilitate smooth and efficient registration for the yatris. Sub Divisional Magistrate- R.S. Pura Anuradha Thakur, SDM Akhnoor Mukhter Ahmed and SDM Chowki Chowra Ankush Hans were present besides senior officers from PHE, PDD, JMC, PWD (R&B), Police (Traffic and Security) and Registration Help Desk teams, the ADC issued directions for ensuring round-the-clock readiness of infrastructure and services. Field officials including Tehsildars, BDOs, Executive Engineers and other functionaries were also present during the inspection. All departments were instructed to maintain seamless coordination, ensure timely completion of remaining works and uphold highest standards of cleanliness, security and service delivery for the convenience and safety of the pilgrims. The ADC emphasised the need for a mission-mode approach to operational readiness, ensuring that all registration centres are fully functional and pilgrim-friendly well ahead of the Yatra commencement. |
