Experts from SKUAST Jammu delivered lectures during "15 days training program | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 27: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ramban, SKUAST Jammu has started 15 days certificate course on Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) for the unemployed rural youths of district Ramban at Dhalwas. The programme is conducted under the guidance of Dr B.N. Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST Jammu and organized by Dr Raj Kumar Senior Scientist & Incharge, KVK Ramban under the supervision of Dr Amrish Vaid, Director Extension SKUAST Jammu. Trainees from different Blocks of district Ramban enrolled for the certificate course has joined this training programme The programme started with welcome address by Dr Raj Kumar, Senior Scientist & Incharge, KVK Ramban. Dr Kumar briefed the participants about the role of different fertilizers and highlighted their importance in plant nutrition. During the programme, Experts from SKUAST Jammu visited KVK Ramban at Dhalwas. Expert lectures on "Specification and nutrient contents of different fertilizers" and "Handling, storage and transportation of different Fertilizers" have been delivered by Dr Ajay Gupta, Chief Scientist & Head, KVK Poonch. Besides Dr Mushtaq Ah. Guru, Program Assistant, KVK Poonch has also delivered lecture on "Brief description of various Indian Soils" During the programme Dr Kumar highlighted that the organization of this 15 days INM course in the Ramban district will benefit not only the input dealers/trainees but also the farmers of the Ramban district and helps in the proper nutrient management to increase production and productivity of crops in Ramban District. He laid emphasis on use of balanced nutrient management by using recommended and judicious doses of fertilizers for different crops. During the session, various queries of the trainees have also been answered by the Experts. Technical session ended with the vote of thanks. |
