UDHAMPUR, June 27: To chalk out a comprehensive strategy for the formulation of the District Capex Budget for the financial year 2025-26, District Development Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai chaired a meeting of officers of line departments held in the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Block Development Officers, senior district and sectoral officers from different departments.
Detailed deliberations were held on sector-wise planning at Panchayat, Block and District levels. Key focus areas included Rural Connectivity, Rural Infrastructure, Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Water Conservation, Agriculture, Power, Health and Education. Emphasis was also laid on harnessing area-specific potential and promoting employment generation.
While addressing the officers, the DDC emphasized the need to ensure developmental priorities while formulating plan proposals. She instructed the concerned to ensure that all proposals are scrutinized and approved through the Gram Sabha before being projected in the final plan.
The DDC further directed officers to work towards improving key indicators under the Sustainable Development goals through efficient planning and implementation and prepare realistic, need-based and inclusive development plans. |
