| Drug peddler nabbed with heroine | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, June 27: In a significant breakthrough in the fight against narcotics smuggling Police Party of P/S Billawar led by SHO Billawar Insp Zaheer Mushtaq under the guidance of SP Oprs Upper Kathua Sh Aumer Iqbal and overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS has apprehended a person involved in the illegal possession and sale of narcotic substances. The police successfully recovered 10.04 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession.
Based on credible information received at the police station Billawar, it was learnt that one Drug Peddler namely Aslam Ahmed S/o Ashiq Ali R/o Lakhri, Tehsil Billawar, District Kathua, who is reportedly involved in narcotics trafficking, was seen moving suspiciously in a car bearing registration number JK02AC-1086 in the Dharamkot area, allegedly attempting to sell heroin among the local population.
Acting promptly on the input, a police team was dispatched. Subsequently, a case FIR No. 102/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Billawar.
During Personal search of the accused 10.04 grams of Heroine like substance has been recovered from his possession. and the accused has been taken into custody. Further investigation is ongoing to uncover the broader network and source of the narcotics.
