EPFO conducts Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 27: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) today successfully conducted its flagship outreach initiative, Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0, at two key locations in the Union Territory of Jammu: Doda and Kathua. The event, led by Regional PF Commissioner-I Sh. Sumeet Singh, aimed to extensively educate stakeholders on various EPFO services, schemes, and recent initiatives. Accounts Officer Sh. Bal Krishan, accompanied with the team as District Nodal Officer Another program, led by Accounts Officer, Smt V. Prathima, along with Accounts Officer Sh. Aman Dandhi and Social Security Assistant Sh Shesh Kumar in Doda aimed to educate employers, employees, and other stakeholders about various EPFO schemes and grievance redressal mechanisms. The event was held at Green Model Academy at Doda and SICOP IID Centre, Govindsar at Kathua. More than 100 employers and employees participated in the programme. The programme centred around improving member services with special emphasis on processes such as Joint Declaration, KYC Updation, UAN Updation and bank account details. A highlight of both the programs was the participation by the pensioners of EPFO. Pensioners were welcomed to the session and their queries were answered on the spot. Significant highlight was also the updation of Jeevan Pramaan (digital life certificates) for pensioners who were previously unable to visit their nearest EPFO office for this essential update. Pensioners lauded the EPFO's proactive efforts, specifically praising the advance notification they received about the outreach program being organized in their respective districts. The convenience of renewing their life certificates without the hassle of traveling all the way to Jammu was particularly appreciated. Sh. Bansi Lal from Doda, who was previously unable to renew his life certificate due to old age-related health issues preventing travel, expressed his immense satisfaction. He was especially impressed by the Face Authentication Technology (FAT), which enabled him to renew his life certificate using his smartphone. The EPFO team provided hands-on support, ensuring the app was installed on the pensioner's smartphone and imparting training for self-use so that in future there would be no need to visit EPFO Office for this annual updation. The theme of the program was PENSIONERS SERVICES DLC Submission through FAT Pension & EDLI Calculator Withdrawal Benefit & Scheme Certificate Prayaas, PPO & DLC Submission What to do in case of death of Pensioner During the session, participants were sensitized about grievance filing through EPFiGMS, CPGRAMS, and other digital portals, along with fraud prevention measures and employees' rights. Detailed discussions covered Provident Fund (PF), Pension, and Insurance schemes, ensuring that all eligible employees receive social security benefits from their first day of employment. Reviewing the EPF compliance status of various construction companies, firms, contractors, and subcontractors, the Accounts Officers directed all private schools and firms to ensure 100% enrollment of their employees and the timely deposit of EPF contributions to provide them with social security under insurance and pension benefit schemes. Companies were also advised to obtain EPF codes from Jammu to facilitate local staff. Regional P.F. Commissioner-I Sh. Sumeet Singh thanked all the stakeholders who participated for making the event a massive success. Key district representatives Sh. Sat Pal, General secretary Pvt School Association, Kathua, Sh. Praveen Tyagi, CTM in Kathua and Sh. OP Chandail, President of Private School Association, Doda were present in both the programs respectively. Employers, were instructed to ensure the registration of employees working under different firms, agencies, and contractors operating under their jurisdiction. Additionally, queries from employees, employers, and company representatives were addressed by the District Nodal Officers. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various sectors, reinforcing awareness and implementation of EPFO schemes in Jammu Division. |
