Poonch , June 30: The Congress organized an impressive Jai Hind Sabha followed by Jai Hind Yatra at Poonch today to honour our Armed Forces for their bravery in operation Sindoor, which was joined by Senior Congress leaders Shahnawaz chowdhary ( Secretary AICC), Jangheer Mir (Ex-Chairman LC), Sain Abdul Rashid (DDC) PCC Coordinator Poonch, Parveen Sarawar khan (Ex-Secy JKPCC) , Rayaz Naz (DDC), Ajaz Chowdhary(Secy IYC), Taj Mir, and others.
The rally was part of the nationwide campaign of the party to pay respect to the armed forces for their bravery and valour in carrying out operation Sindhoor besides questioning the flip flop foreign policy & other policies of Modi government including denial of statehood to J&K .
Addressing the gathering AICC Secretary Shri Shahnawaz Choudhary said that BJP has been politicizing the achievement & bravery of armed forces in carrying out operation Sindhoor but the Modi govt is escaping from answering vital questions relating to the security and integrity and honour of the country.
He lashed out at the Modi government as to how terrorist state Pakistan is getting full financial support and recognition at International levels but Modi government is not acting against it. Our people are getting worst ever treatment in US under Donald Trump but Modi ji describes him as friend.
Former Chairman J&K Legislative Council & Ex-MLA Shri Jahangir Mir in his address accused BJP of denying legitimate right of statehood to people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that statehood is the right of people of Jammu and Kashmir and Centre cannot deny it for too long .He demand restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir without further delay. He praised our armed forces for their discipline and bravery and saluted the forces.
Sain Abdul Rashid said that Jammu Poonch and Rajouri districts have been completely ignored in the allocation of critical development funds, pointing out that the twin districts have been consistently overlooked under the BJP’s watch.
Parveen Sarawar khan , Rayaz Naz (DDC) and Ajaz Chowdhary Secretary IYC also spoke in the rally and demanded early restoration of statehood with full guarantee of land and jobs.
