Early Times Report AKHNOOR, July 2: BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) Member Pandit Suresh Sharma, along with PWD officials, conducted an extensive inspection of road infrastructure in Block Maira Mandrian. The visit covered key panchayats including Barui, Kandi, Balgara, Maira Mandrian, Garatal, Kathar, and Keour, with a detailed review of the road stretch from Khuga Morh to Gura Panada. Sharma directed the officials to ensure that no road is blocked during the ongoing monsoon season. He stressed the urgent need to clear clogged drains to prevent waterlogging and damage to life or property. He further instructed that protection works be initiated wherever required to avoid road erosion, and jungle cutting be done simultaneously. Inspecting the ongoing construction on the Gura Panada road, Sharma emphasized its early completion, highlighting that locals have waited over 75 years for road connectivity. He stated that finishing this project will provide much-needed relief to the region. The inspection was attended by Executive Engineer Sunil Dogra, AE Iqlaq Ahmed, Junior Engineers Rakesh Sharma and Mujid Choudhary, along with other dignitaries and locals. |
